Note: The following ropes course is being produced by Elemental Events, LLC - not by Wicked Adventure Racing.

Elemental Events, LLC is presenting a course aimed at providing Adventure Racers with the skills they need to negotiate the Rappeling Sections of any race.

The emphasis of this course will be to provide racers in the upcoming RAID X-Adventure Race in Bend Oregon with the skills they will need to properly utilize the Figure-8 Rappeling device. This device is widely used in European races, but less so in US based races, where the ATC device is preferred.

We will be providing instruction, coaching and hands on practice, in the use of both devices, as well as safe rigging techniques and the use of the "Petzl Shunt" as a back-up safety device. (Racers in the RAID X-Adventure should note that the "Petzl Shunt" is also mandatory gear for that race).

The majority of the course will be spent in a coached "hands-on" environment. In otherwords, you'll be rappelling a lot!

Although this course will address specific skills needed for the RAID X-Adventure, we encourage all Racers and potential Racers to consider attending, since rappel skills are needed in virtually any race.

Discounts: In an effort to promote participation in local AR events, anyone who provides proof of registration, or participation, in either the RAID X-Adventure, or any Wicked Adventure Sprint Series (and former Terra Events, Terra Sprint Series) Event will recieve a $10 discount.
