Nehalem Bay State Park is a gorgeous playground on the Northern Oregon Coast. With Oswald West State Park and Neahkahnie Mountain to the North, The Tillamook Forest to the East and South, Nehalem Bay and Nehalem River, and of course the gorgeous coast line and pounding surf, there's no end to the exciting possibilities stretched out for fun. Shane is having an absolute field day devising a truly wicked course for you, making the best of the challenging terrain and scenic beauty of the area.

Friends and family are of course always encouraged at our races, and we chose this location with that in mind. The park has numerous playgrounds, picnic spots, walking trails, boat dock on the bay, and stretches of beautiful sandy beach to keep anyone entertained. The nearby town of Manzanita is only 3 miles north of Nehalem Bay park. Manzanita's one of our favorite cities and we frequently drive out there for lunch at "The Chowder House", or "Bread and Ocean" Bakery and Cafe'. Cannon Beach is a 20 minute drive North and a great town for people who like to window shop. It's a very popular tourist destination, and the views from Ecola State Park, immediately North of Cannon Beach, are spectacular.

The post-race awards and Beach BBQ will start at approximately 4:30 or 5:00 pm race day.
