For such a small town, Manzanita has a good variety of restaurants to choose from. Here are our favorites:
The Chowder House: Lunch and dinner. Don't let the plastic patio chairs fool you. This is good food! We like the fresh Halibut Fish and Chips, and the Captain's Plate full of seafood served over coconut rice. Located half way down the main drag through Manzanita, Laneda Avenue, on the north side of the street.
Bread and Ocean Cafe' and Bakery: Breakfast, lunch, and snacks. No place to sit down in this place - strictly a take-out joint, but entirely worth the effort. Fantastic sandwiches, soups, salads, and pastries. Take your lunch down to the beach. Delicious! Also located about half way down the main drag through Manzanita, Laneda Avenue, on the north side of the street. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Big Wave Cafe': Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything we've ever tried on our numerous visits has been good. Hard to go wrong here. Located at the corner of Hwy 1 and Laneda Avenue in Manzanita.
Manzanita News and Espresso: Great spot for caffeine and treats. Lovely patio for relaxing. So good that it's often very busy. 500 Laneda Avenue.
