The Wicked Mountain race is fast approaching! The race course is set, and only Mother Nature has her say on exactly what's going to happen. If the weather continues to hold fair, we'll be including Mountain Biking in this race. We are finalizing permits now for the Mountain Biking, which is weather dependant.

If you haven't caught the drift yet ... Navigation is going to be tough in all of the Wicked Adventure Sprint Series races, the Mountain race included. Expect some tough route choices!

If you've never bicycled on snow before, you'll get the chance to in this race! Some thoughts - Ice is Slick! Yes, it sounds silly but it's true! It's quite likely you'll see patches of ice out there, so be careful, and hike something that looks too sketchy!

For you Pro Coursers out there, the Ropes Rappel is looking like it'll be a lot of fun. You're going to have a free drop on a wall of about 70 feet, then a 600 foot run out on low angle. Should be lots of fun!

There is still a lot of snow up there that you guys are going to be moving through. On the Trekking/Snowshoeing sections, you will probably be in and out of your snowshoes. Make sure that the hiking/trekking shoes you are wearing work well with your snowshoes. You'll also want to be CERTAIN you can carry your snowshoes attached to your racing pack. Double check that - many racing packs don't work well with big bulky items like snowshoes.

We've made changes to the mandatory gear lists a couple of times in the last month. Please make sure you check it and are ready to go for the race. We WILL be having mandatory gear checks on the race course, so be forewarned! We've put a lot of thought into each of the items that goes on the mandatory gear list, they're not there for giggles, they're there for your safety. Even the most experienced of racers can have accidents or get lost. You're going to be out in the great wild wilderness, and your mamma isn't going to be around to help you!
