Sunsweet Update 2Some quick update notes, after we have received a few questions, we thought we'd share them with you. 1) Label your paddles with your and/or your teams' name, they do not have to fit into your boat or bin. 2) We will be transporting your boats and paddle gear back from the Paddle TA to Race HQ. You MUST insure all of your gear is stowed properly, and labeled. If you have a very expensive kayak, and are concerned with damage, you might bring a support crew person to help you move your boat. We (of course) will do everything in our power to protect your equipment like it is our own. However, we will not be responsible for any real or perceived damage to your equipment. 3) There is a cold water Whitewater section of the race. You may want to insure you bring warm water gear for this section. You will not need any additional equipment beyond that which is already on your mandatory gear list. 4) We have a mandatory "light" on the gear list. However, we STRONGLY advise you to have the best lighting system possible for use on the MTB sections. Hint, hint... Really, we strongly advise a good lighting system. Honest, you'll be happy for it... 5) You may use outside maps ONLY IN the Transition areas. NO OUTSIDE maps are allowed on the race course. 6) You may use support crew IN THE TA areas only. However, a support crew person is not required. 7) Family members will have the opportunity to see you in a TA area or potentially in a few remote areas. However, these chances may be far and few in between, and they may come at the wee hours of the night. 8) A compass isn't necessarily a mandatory gear item. But I suspect you might get lost without one...
